A page carrying &lt;code&gt;&lt;nowiki&gt;[[Category:CuratedCategoryPage]]&lt;/nowiki&gt;&lt;/code&gt; is a category page that provides its own curated, prose-led member index under the canonical category-page structure: a descriptive history-first lead, a grouped indexed member list, scope notes, and a demoted &quot;About these pages&quot; section.<br /> <br /> The marker drives a site CSS rule (in [[MediaWiki:Common.css]]) that hides MediaWiki&#039;s auto-generated member listing on these pages, so the curated index is not shadowed by a duplicate machine listing.<br /> <br /> This is a hidden category; it does not display in the category footer of tagged pages. MedCategory class pages do not need this marker: their existing Category:MedCategoryFull marker already suppresses the auto-list.</div>
