It sorts regulated substances into five schedules according to accepted medical use and potential for abuse, and it is administered by the [[Drug Enforcement Administration]]. Many of the medicines documented on this wiki are placed in one of its schedules; placement in [[Schedule I]], the most restrictive, has historically curtailed research.&lt;br /&gt;
