1991 book by Alexander Shulgin and Ann Shulgin, published by Transform Press.&lt;br /&gt;
The book is in two parts: an autobiographical narrative, and a detailed&lt;br /&gt;
compendium of some two hundred psychoactive phenethylamine compounds, many of&lt;br /&gt;
them first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin. Its companion volume, covering&lt;br /&gt;
tryptamines, is &amp;#039;&amp;#039;TiHKAL&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. PiHKAL is a primary historical source for the&lt;br /&gt;
