Refused a supply of [[LSD]] by the Sandoz laboratories, he synthesized DMT himself and, in Budapest in 1956, established its activity by intramuscular administration to a series of volunteers.&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;szara1956&amp;quot;&amp;gt;Szára S.
