Gepant, CGRP receptor antagonist
Zavzpret
Zavzpret (zavegepant)
Zavzpret (zavegepant) is the first intranasally administered CGRP receptor antagonist (gepant), FDA-approved in March 2023 for the acute treatment of migraine in adults. Its nasal route delivers faster onset than oral gepants, useful when nausea precludes pills.
