Pharmacopedia
The encyclopedia of medicines for the mind

A collaborative reference for psychotropic medicines, how we use them, and how they affect us.

Contents intended for mature audiences only

Currently VERY MUCH IN CONSTRUCTION - NOTHING IS RELIABLE
Featured medicine

Fluoxetine was the first of the SSRIs, released in the US Dec 29 1987, and still a mainstay of treatment for many conditions ranging from anxiety disorders to OCD to PTSD to premature ejaculation. It was the first of a long line of SSRIs that have come to dominate prescribing practices of many clinicians around the world. Initially touted as being effective and well-tolerated, both of those assumptions have come under serious scrutiny in more recent years.

About this project

Pharmacopedia is a community-maintained reference for medicines, blending structured pharmacology with practical clinical experience. Each entry covers what a medicine does, how it's used, what to expect, and the lived detail that doesn't always make it into the package insert.

Written for clinicians, students, and curious patients.
