The content of Pharmacopedia is made freely available under an open license, with the aim of making clear, reliable information about medicines accessible to everyone. This page explains the terms.
Wiki content
Except where noted below, the text content of Pharmacopedia, the articles and pages written for this wiki, is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
You are free to share and adapt this content, including for commercial purposes, provided that you:
- Attribute the work to "© Pharmacopedia contributors", with a link to Pharmacopedia or to the page used; and
- Share alike, if you remix or build upon the content, you must distribute your contributions under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
By contributing to Pharmacopedia, you agree to release your contributions to the wiki's text content under this license.
Quoted and third-party material
Pharmacopedia pages quote material from copyrighted sources, for example, brief excerpts from published books (including the works of Dale Pendell and authors quoted within them) and passages from journal articles. The CC BY-SA 4.0 license above applies only to Pharmacopedia's own original content. It does not, and cannot, relicense quoted third-party material. Such quoted material remains under the copyright of its original authors and publishers, and is reproduced here as brief attributed quotation. The Pharmacopedia software
The Pharmacopedia MediaWiki extension, the software that powers features of this wiki, as distinct from the wiki's written content, is licensed separately, under the GNU General Public License, version 3 (GPL v3). The CC BY-SA license does not apply to the software, and the GPL does not apply to the wiki's content.
