Titration strategies

Insufflated dose ladder (Erowid)0
Erowid's dosage documentation for insufflated ketamine[1] reports the following tiers:
  • Threshold: 10-15 mg
  • Light: 15-30 mg
  • Common: 30-75 mg
  • Strong: 60-125 mg
  • K-hole: 100-250 mg

Onset 5 to 15 minutes; duration 45 to 60 minutes with aftereffects 1 to 3 hours. The "K-hole" -- a state of profound dissociation and anesthesia-adjacent experience -- is a recognized category in ketamine harm-reduction literature, distinct from the "strong" tier in

character as well as magnitude.
Oral dose ladder (Erowid)0
Oral tiers reported by Erowid:[1]
  • Threshold: 40-50 mg
  • Light: 50-100 mg
  • Common: 75-300 mg
  • Strong: 200-450 mg
  • K-hole: 500+ mg

Onset 5 to 20 minutes depending on stomach contents; duration approximately 90 minutes with aftereffects 4 to 8 hours. Oral doses

are substantially higher than insufflated for equivalent effect.
Intramuscular dose ladder (Erowid)0
IM tiers reported by Erowid:[1]
  • Threshold: 10-15 mg
  • Light: 15-30 mg
  • Common: 25-50 mg
  • Strong: 40-100 mg
  • K-hole: 60-125 mg
  • Anesthetic: 100-200 mg

Onset 1 to 5 minutes; duration 30 to 60 minutes with aftereffects 2 to 4 hours. Erowid also notes IV anesthetic dosing at 1-4.5 mg/kg

body weight.
