DPWG guideline: Patients who are CYP3A4 poor metabolizers and being treated for depression should be given an alternative drug. Patients being treated for other indications and who are CYP3A4 poor metabolizers should be given a reduced dose of quetiapine. No action is needed for patients who are CYP3A4 intermediate metabolizers. ClinPGx uses CYP3A4 allele nomenclature as defined by PharmVar , while the current version of this guideline issued by the DPWG uses retired allele names.
