• Threshold: 1-2 mg
• Light: 2-5 mg
• Common: 5-10 mg
• Strong: 10-20 mg

Onset is within 30 seconds to 1 minute after inhalation; peak at 1 to 15 minutes; total duration approximately 30 minutes with aftereffects lasting up to 1 hour. The brevity and abruptness of the smoked route distinguishes 5-MeO-DMT sharply from the oral tryptamines. Erowid emphasizes that individual response varies widely and overwhelmingly

intense experiences have been reported at doses within the common range.
