Heaven and Hell is a 1956 book-length essay by Aldous Huxley, published by Chatto & Windus. It is the companion to Huxley's [[The Doors of Perception]] (1954), and continues his reflection on mescaline and on visionary experience, extending the discussion to art, light, and the range of states of mind from the beatific to the terrifying. The two essays are often published together in a single volume.
